Information You Submit
When you enter a name, phone number, or address in a search form, that entry goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. San Joaquin County People Search does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send us a message, we receive the details you decide to provide and use them only to answer you.
Details Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems record common server-log details, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable technologies may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those functions apply.
How Information Is Used
The information described above helps us run San Joaquin County People Search, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists. Nor do we create profiles of individual users.
External Sites and Services
Links may lead to San Joaquin County or California government portals, records custodians, library collections, and third-party search services. Information submitted after following a link is governed by the destination's privacy policy, not this one. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results, which come from an outside provider.
When Information Is Shared
Vendors that host or support San Joaquin County People Search may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatically collected details described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise share visitor information.
Security and Retention
San Joaquin County People Search uses an encrypted connection. Server logs are kept only for as long as the purposes stated above require. Because the site has no user accounts, it holds no visitor password or account profile that could be exposed here.
Privacy for Minors
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted personal information, and we will remove it.
California Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live and whether a law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California Civil Code §§ 1798.100 et seq., including rights to know, delete, and correct certain data, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to limit some uses of sensitive personal information. Because we retain very little, a request usually involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs, then removing responsive data where required. Submit a request through the Contact page.
Public records maintained by San Joaquin County or California agencies remain outside our control. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§ 7920.000 et seq., governs access to many agency records, but it is not a general deletion right. Questions about correction, confidentiality, or removal must go to the office that keeps the record, such as the San Joaquin County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk, Superior Court, or Registrar of Voters, and the record-specific law may limit what that office can change or disclose.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will be posted here. By continuing to use San Joaquin County People Search after an update, you accept the new version.
